If you haven’t seen This Time yet, you’re missing out. Here’s a quick movie review on JaDine’s summer kilig movie. 🙂 I wrote it in the perspective of a non-JaDine fan and the review is solely for this movie and not as compared to JaDine’s previous ones. (Because if you’re a JaDine fan, there’s no doubt that you’ll love it! Plus, you’d also think that this is, by far, JaDine’s best movie yet. 🙂 For sure! )

I watch movies to be moved.
I am drawn to films that slowly allow beautiful stories to unfold and characters to evolve through time. This is, what I feel, This Time lacks. The story is simple – Ava and Coby struggle to define their relationship because they only see each other during the summer. The storytelling isn’t as progressive as I would’ve wanted it to be because in some parts of the film, it loses momentum. It needed more conflict and more depth, which I think could’ve made the movie richer.
However, I also watch movies to be entertained.
My heart was tugged with a brief snuggle between Coby and Ava or how adorable it was that they were growing up together . I was giggling at the slightest touch of hands and the stolen glances between childhood sweethearts and special friends. I was laughing hard at the Buhay family’s incredible comedic timing and infectious positivity. This Time shone a positivity that not a lot of other films do. It was incredibly heartwarming to audiences because it presented love in the purest of forms – unadulterated, honest, real and unwavering.
You will inevitably get drawn to JaDine’s irresistible chemistry. The music will make you feel nostalgic and raw, and the overall dialogue between characters are relatable. All these set against a beautiful Japan background will definitely make anyone fall in love with being in love.
Reviewing films depend on several aspects. While I think the movie could’ve added more backstory, conflict and depth, it still managed to do its job, which is to make me feel something. I may not have been intellectually-moved and it may not have raised discourse, but it filled my heart with joy and hope, knowing that love in many forms – familial, platonic or even romantic, are nonethelss special and magical.

THE JADINE LAND 
Same view as mine. It is entertaining yet may kulang. I expect more, like in the end “MAY PASABOG OR TWIST” but as they have said… It is just a feel-good summer movie, very light and no dramas. Well, overall the movie was good. The kilig is always there. Buhay Family made me laugh all the time. Tipong kahit seryoso na is natatawa pa din ako (sorry for that tho) 🙈

PWhy should you watch JaDine’s movie “This Time”? For a NBSB and hopeless romantic person like me,here are some of my observations,opinions,reaction,and POV , about the movie.
This movie made me realized that great love do exist.It is not the distance,the situation especially the age that matters,when loving someone special to you. It is the trust ,among all others , that makes one’s relationship last long.
And if you have a feelings for someone, you have to tell him,not hide it on your own.Coz you will never know his/her feelings if you won’t ask him or tell him your feelings for him. You may regret the time when you know he/she has a feelings for you as well especially when you are apart from each other.
A relationship that starts with friendship is the one that’s precious and very romantic.This not just based on the story of the movie only, but also based in Nadine and James’ recent relationship status.
This movie also shows that we should be family oriented person.Because a person who grew up with their family beside them is a person who knows how to love unconditionally.This movie shows that no matter how hard LDR is,as long as the love,trust and committment is there, there is to nothing worry about.And this assures us that forever do really exists. This movie proves that true love waits!! Even though you and your loved one parted ways for so many years ago, love will never let you fail to find them,as long as your love for one another is there, coz love moves in mysterious ways.
To the Artists,
Each character brought justice to their role, especially JAMES AND NADINE, they proved that their acting skills are very flexible and they are very versatile.Any character you will give them as a role,they will surely give justice to it.No doubt so many fans loved them so dearly. And no wonder this Movie is a Blockbuster!

Saan ang hustisya sa mga single at hopless romantic na tulad ko?!! I will never get tired of rewatching this movie over and over again!
